Daniel de los Reyes was born in New York and raised across San Juan, New York and Las Vegas, in a family where rhythm wasn’t an extracurricular activity or even simply a profession.
It was a language, passed from one generation to the next.
His father, renowned drummer and percussionist Walfredo de los Reyes Sr., placed Daniel inside a remarkable musical lineage with deep roots in Cuban music.
But inheritance only explains where Daniel began.
What followed became entirely his own.
Across a career that has moved freely between Latin music, pop, rock, soul and country, Daniel has built a reputation not simply for technical command, but for something harder to teach: the ability to bring movement, personality and joy into the music around him.

Daniel founded DayGLOW Music to give young people access to the transformative power of music — particularly in communities where arts and enrichment programs have been underfunded, eliminated or placed out of reach.
Through music, nature and mindfulness, DayGLOW uses rhythm as a tool for confidence, connection, creative expression and growth.
For Daniel, it is not separate from his life as an artist.
It is what happens when a lifetime in rhythm becomes an investment in the next generation.
