Every rhythm has a beginning.
New York born. Raised between Puerto Rico and Las Vegas. Formed by a family whose musical language stretches across three generations.
Daniel learned from his father, the renowned drummer and percussionist Walfredo de los Reyes Sr., surrounded by the sounds of Cuban and Puerto Rican music—and by working musicians who treated the stage like home.
That foundation became a passport. Daniel’s career moved freely through pop, rock, soul, Latin music and global touring, always grounded in the belief that rhythm is connection.

Daniel didn’t simply choose percussion. He inherited a musical language—and then expanded it.

Zac Brown Band’s record-setting 15th sold-out Fenway Park performance gave every member of the band a moment to shine — and Daniel made his count. During the encore, Daniel stepped forward with his take on Bad Bunny’s “Tití Me Preguntó.” Boston.com called the performance “fun and fleet and fabulous.”
